If you are looking to pre-order Sid Meier's Civilization IV, you might want to be aware of the Special Pre-Order Edition that is currently availiable.
Initially a list of retailers offering the Pre-Order Edition was not announced. This was done today (Sep/30), with an announcement posted on the Official Civilization 4 site.
We've separated this short guide too two parts, depending if you have or havent pre-ordered.

If you live outside North America, the only way to get the Pre-Order edition is through EB Games. For exact shipping information see EB Shipping Rates page. The european Amazon stores offer the retail (localised) version.
If you live in North America, this announcement is for you:
The following is a list of retailers participating in the Civilization IV Pre-Order Edition program. Customers pre-ordering from these authorized retailers will receive the special Pre-Order Edition of Civilization IV. This edition includes a collector`s case, CD soundtrack, keyboard foldout, tech tree map, disc holder and more. The Pre-Order Edition is available via pre-order only and at the same suggested retail price of the regular (mini-box) edition of Civilization IV. Customers at brick and mortar retailers should confirm at the time of pre-ordering that the Pre-Order Edition is continued to be offered, as it is being produced in limited quantities.

I pre-ordered before September 30
If you have pre-ordered from Amazon, we would like to note that until now (Sep 30) we linked to Amazon`s initial entry of the "simple" retail version of Civilization IV. If you want the pre-order edition you should probably want to see Amazon`s help page on Reviewing & Changing Orders.
If you have pre-ordered from Chips&Bits, you should know that they are not participating in this pre-order program and only carry the retail version. You can contact Chips&Bits Sales Department and ask them to.
If you have pre-ordered from EB Games, you should be ok. If you want to be certain on what you will recieve, contact EB Games.
